The first day of Sibos 2020 kicks off the conversation on this year’s conference theme: ‘Driving the evolution of smart finance’. Senior business leaders and thinkers will debate Delivering digital value, the first of four daily sub-themes.
Sibos will be opened by none other than Jamie Dimon, CEO, JPMorgan Chase & Co., sharing his insights and experience from a career that spans five decades in financial services, while Mick Ebeling, CEO of social innovation lab Not Impossible, will open SWIFT Innotribe with a talk about how all of us can make a positive difference and redefine what we think is possible. SWIFT Innotribe also features a Contrarian Views session on the reality of the industry’s digitisation.
This year’s Views from the Top series kicks off with talks from heavyweights including Fan Yi Fei, Deputy Governor of the People’s Bank of China, Ade Ayeyemi, CEO of Ecobank and Rajnish Kumar, Chairman of the State Bank of India. There is also the brand new, fireside chat style conference stream In Conversation with Esther George, President of the Federal Reserve Bank Kansas City.
The newly launched Sibos Academy kicks off with sessions on Central Bank Digital Currencies and day one of the SWIFT Institute Student Challenge, and the Spotlight stream begins with a focus on Understanding the customers of the future.
Delegates can also enjoy panel sessions on Trade digitisation and Compliance in a real-time world. Take a look at the conference programme for more details on all of these fantastic sessions.
