Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People’s Bank of China,</em> Yin Yong, Mayor of Beijing, and Bill Winters, Group Chief Executive of Standard Chartered, announced as the opening keynote speakers at Sibos 2024 Beijing.</em></p> Governor Pan Gongsheng </strong>was appointed Governor of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) in July 2023. He joined the PBOC in 2012 as Deputy Governor. Between 2016 and 2023, Pan was head of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange.</p> Pan has a background in commercial banking and was previously the Executive Director and Vice President of the Agricultural Bank of China and held a number of roles at the ICBC.</p> Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People’s Bank of China</em></figcaption></figure></div> Mayor Yin Yong</strong> was elected Mayor of Beijing in January 2023. Before joining Beijing Municipal Government in 2018 as a Deputy Mayor, Yin served as Assistant Governor and then Deputy Governor of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) from 2015 to 2018.</p> Prior to that, Yin held various positions in the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE).</p> Yin Yong, Mayor of Beijing</figcaption></figure></div> Bill Winters</strong> has been Group Chief Executive of Standard Chartered since 2015. He has had a distinguished career in banking, having spent 26 years with J.P. Morgan in diverse leadership roles. </p> Winters was awarded a CBE for his services to the UK economy and financial services in 2013.</p> Winters is deeply engaged in driving the climate finance agenda.
